It’s Mother’s Day this weekend and I love honoring the moms I know. So many moms skip over their own and wants and needs to focus on their family that this makes Mother’s Day even more special! Mom is the person who focuses on you and cares for you day in and day out so why shouldn’t she have one day that is all about her and how awesome and special she is to her family each day of the year. This year I wanted to make some fun little cards to hand out to some of the moms I know that deserve a little honor and celebration for all that they do. I decided to make these fun Mother’s Day Printable Lip Balm Cards that I think is just perfect for the moms I know.
I decided that I wanted this card to be sweet and touching all while being cute and useful at the same time. I think the design came out great and the addition of the lip balm gives each of the moms a way to make sure that their lips stay soft for kiddie kisses.
To make your own all you need to do is print off the printable that I have created on some card stock and then cut out the black circle in the middle of the heart.
I’ve been having so much fun with my new HP Envy printer making new printables!
These are designed to be used with EOS lip balm. To place the lip balm into the card all you need to do is remove the wrapper from the lip balm and open it.
Slide the bottom of the lip balm into the whole from the bottom and then screw the top onto the lip balm so that the EOS is on the top.
Then gift to friends and family to honor them on Mother’s Day.
Do you have any fun craft idea you are planning on doing for Mother’s Day this year?

Teacher Appreciation Day is this week and teachers definitely deserve some appreciation. This year besides doing the blog here I have also worked as a recess supervisor at the school my two youngest kids go to. I know first hand how much school staff goes through day in and day out to help your kids learn and grow. In my district though most parents do end of year gifts instead of Teacher Appreciation Day gifts. This is what I plan to do but I also want to give them something on Teacher Appreciation Day that will let them know that I am thinking of them and how much they do each day and how a sugar and caffeine boost midday can make all the difference in the world. Also, since I have three kids in elementary school and all of them are on IEPs they see a lot of teachers each week between them all. That’s why I designed these Teacher Appreciation Day Candy Bar Wrapper Printables. It’s a quick, easy and inexpensive way to let your child’s teachers know that you appreciate all they do.
Since these were designed to go to teachers I went with the obvious and classic, green school chalkboard motif. The front detail looks like early elementary lined paper with a thank you blurb in a child-like script.
The back side when wrapped has a message wishing them a happy Teacher Appreciation Day in a bolder font. Both fonts were done in a pale yellow to replicate the old school yellow chalk that used to be in so many classrooms back in the day. I also added the standard apples on for embellishment.
It’s quick and easy to make these. All you have to do is print out the free printable, cut them out, wrap them around a candy bar, tape and you are done and ready to gift. To download the printable just click HERE.

Do you have a young Jedi or Padawan in your house? (See how I went all Jedi Master there?) Then these are the Valentine’s Day cards for you! These Star Wars Valentine’s Day Printable Cards are a great option for your lightsaber wielding, one with the force child.
I have created these cards in three fun Star Wars themed designs. Each one with a classic Star Wars character and a fun Valentine’s Day themed line on them. Each card has a blank line for your child to write out their name and the recipient’s name as well. These can be printed out and cut out and left as is and used as a perfect sized bookmark. That really keeps the cost down! If you want to though you can punch wholes along the top or side and add a glow stick. I figured those were the one thing you could do inexpensively that actually kind of reminds me of a lightsaber. You can usually find packages of 7-10 at the dollar store so still a relatively inexpensive and food free option for class parties.
To download your own set of these and print them off for this weeks class parties just click on the link below. Then all you need to do is print cut and decide if you are going with really easy bookmarks or grab your whole punch, punch some whole and add some glow sticks.

Are your kids in a school district that no longer allows food treats at class parties? My kids are and I do miss being able to send treats but I understand why we can’t. With this though we end up with a ton of pencils at very single class party throughout the year. Pencils are inexpensive and you can always find themed ones that cover any holiday or special occasion. While I get that pencils are useful bringing home a bag of various pencils is not very exciting for the kids. So what do kids like? Mine personally love glow sticks. So I made these adorable and oh so easy to use Valentine’s Day Glow Stick Printable hearts.
You can snag cheap packages of glow stick bracelets at your local dollar stores. They usually have them in the toy or party supply areas and come in a variety of colors and 5-10 in a package.
To make these Valentine’s Day cards just download and print the below printable. Then cut each of the hearts out. Using a standard whole punch make holes on the left and right sides of the hearts. These holes should be the perfect size to hold the glow sticks in place. Carefully, slide the glow stick through the wholes and you are ready to go. The kids can write their names on the back so that their friends know just who they are from.

I love a good love story. I sob at the end of a romantic movie when the guy gets the girl. I get teary eyed when I watch a viral marriage proposal on the internet. I read romance novels like they are going out of style. Basically, I am one hopeless romantic! That’s not a bad thing. Especially when Valentine’s Day the most romantic day of the year is right around corner. In honor of all of the love, romance, flowers, chocolates, candlelit dinners and bow chicka wow wow I decided I wanted to make a Happily Ever After Printable!
This Happily Ever After Printable is a tribute to every classic fairytale. I wanted to create something that looked like an aged page from an old world story about princesses, their handsome princes and nefarious plots. **sigh** I decided to go for an antiqued or aged page from a book look. As if you had just opened the story and were about to start reading a glorious tale complete with over the top, elaborate fonts. I think I succeeded in my goals for a romantic, wistful print.
For this Valentine’s Day or to add a romantic touch to any room in your house. All you have to do is download the printable and print it off. Pop it into the frame of your choice and there you have it, a lovely piece of art for your home or a romantic gift ready to be bestowed upon your fair maiden or brave knight.

If your house is anything like mine then I know that Christmas must have been a whirlwind of family, friends, food, good times and gifts. While it’s loads of fun when it is going on if you are like me you may wonder if your kids remembered to thank everyone for all of the wonderful gifts they were given. I know I try to remind my group but with so many kids it can be difficult. So, to remedy that this year I decided to make some printable Christmas thank you cards for my kids to fill out and mail to family and friends.
Using these thank you cards with kids is a great way to teach them the etiquette of saying thanks. It will also make the recipient feel special that your kids took the time to be appreciative of what they did for them. Oftentimes, people are left wondering how their gift was liked by the recipient but this lets them know that not only was it liked but it was also appreciated.
Here is what one filled out looks like. Before you ask… Yes, I did have a kid get a black top hat for Christmas from my mom and yes he did ask for it and was deliriously happy that he got it.
These cards print out as 3.5″ x 5″ cards so they can be printed on regular paper or card stock that you already have at home. That means they will fit in a standard size envelope that you probably already have on hand ay your house.
In order to print these cards out for your kids to use just click on the link below or any of the pictures above to download your very own copy.

Well, it is finally here, the end of November and I have been making Christmas crafts like this Grinch Quote Christmas Printable. This goes against everything in me because Thursday will be Thanksgiving and my 40th birthday! I used to hate having a birthday that fell on or around Thanksgiving every year. As a kid it made it hard to have a birthday party with friends because so often people travel to see family for Thanksgiving. As I got older my birthday was just an after thought to the turkey most years. A quick song of Happy Birthday and my birthday cake is almost always relegated to the dessert table with the rest of the Thanksgiving sweets. Maybe because of all of that I sympathize with Thanksgiving. It seems once Halloween ends every store and person nowadays shifts right into Christmas.
This early shift to Christmas is hard for me as a blogger. I know I have to get Christmas crafts, gift ideas, products and recipes out to you, my readers but I always feel like Thanksgiving is neglected. That Christmas has grown and grown to the point that it has lost all of what was special, beautiful, meaningful and the true reason behind it. Poor Thanksgiving in many ways has become like my birthday cake, an after thought on the road to the big holidays. That was why this Grinch Quote Christmas Printable is so perfect for how I feel Christmas has become for so many.
I decided to do this print in four different colors (blue, red, green & purple) so that there would be something hopefully for everyone’s colors schemes. All you have to do is print one, two, three or all four of them out in color. I personally went to the dollar store and found silver 8″ x 10″ frames for this and another printable coming soon. This makes for a very cheap decoration and if you don’t have a color printer at home don’t worry. You can have your local office store print it out for you for some change. Decorate the frame if you want and it makes a great gift as well.

Thanksgiving is a time of family and friends, of sharing a great meal with people you love and appreciate. It’s a time to let those you care about know just how much they mean to you and while I’m sure that means a lot to most people to me it means even more. You see, my birthday always falls right around or on Thanksgiving. So for me not only do I spend the day with people I love giving thanks but also I spend it with people I love celebrating that I was given life at that time too. This year my birthday not only falls on Thanksgiving but it’s a big one for me. This year I turn the big 4-0 and to say that I have spent a lot of time dreading this I have recently come to realize that this day should be a celebration instead and so I am going to give Extra Gum to my family with these festive Thanksgiving place card favors.
I thought a great way to show some thanks to everyone in my family who has been there for me would be to make their place cards this year into a little gift. I created these leaf print place cards that fit perfectly on the packages of Extra Gum so that every member of my family will know that they are special to me and that I appreciate them because while it may be my 40th birthday, I would not have been here without my parents and everything they have done for me and how much they have cared for me. My life without my siblings would have been lonely growing up. Who would I have had to play with or fight with? My brother-in-law and soon to be sister-in-law I am thankful for because they have brought such happiness and completion to my siblings. My nieces and nephews I am thankful for because I love them to bits and am blessed to have each of them in my life. My husband, who I have been with nearly half of my life. Who I have grown and changed into the person I currently am with and who has helped me raise some pretty great kids. Finally, my children who complete me in a way that I could never possibly have imagined before them and who I love to the moon and back. Basically, this is a way for me to thank everyone in my family for putting up with my brand of crazy for all of these years.
To make your own #ExtraGumMoments this Thanksgiving you can print these Thanksgiving place cards and attach them to a package of Extra Gum with some double-sided, sticky tape.
To make the place cards even more festive, wrap the napkins and silverware in some burlap and scrap fabric for a rustic look. Then place the Extra Gum place card favor on top of it.
To download your own copy of the Thanksgiving place cards just click here and then print and cut. For more fun ideas with Extra Gum follow them on Pinterest, Facebook, and Twitter.
