Thank you to Wayfair for sponsoring today’s post. I did receive compensation for this post but all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
I love pretty things in my home! Sadly though with each additional child in my house more decorations were broken, more walls were colored on and my furniture now consists of hand me downs from friends and family because I had refused to replace stuff with nice things until the kids were older. Lucky for me they are now between the ages of 5 and 21 and my walls haven’t been colored on in a good long bit and my furniture is rarely jumped on these days. I do lose some decorations periodically still though. This means I can finally start working on my house. I’m planning on painting walls, pulling out carpeting and redecorating rooms. It’s going to be so much fun! I’m not going to have mismatched furniture anymore! I’ve already started “window shopping” and I’m just loving the new Wayfair Custom Upholstery lines.
Wayfair’s Custom Upholstery brings you beautiful pieces of furniture with the ability to select fabrics. So you end up with the selection and customization of shopping at a large, expensive furniture store with the ease of being able to do it right on your computer at home, work or wherever. The custom upholstery option not only allows you to select different colors of material but different materials themselves as well. Changing the material can change the entire texture of the piece that you select and it’s nice to be able to do that because some fabrics work better with children and pets.
There are 12 collections available with multiple custom upholstery pieces at Wayfair and they are listed here below:
One of my favorite things about the Wayfair Custom Upholstery is that you can order fabric swatches for the furniture piece(s) you are interested in. I recently ordered some swatches for the Gracie Loveseat and I picked six gray and blue shades in varying materials. The swatches were free of charge and arrived within a week. Each swatch has the color name for the fabric and what it is made from and each one was approximately 5″x5″ so you could really get a good look at it. This can really be a huge help in the selection process. You can then easily match the swatches up to paint, carpets and other decor ensuring that your furniture is just the right shade, fabric and texture for your home.
If you are looking for some new furniture to spruce up the house just in time for the holidays then you should take advantage of the 10% off savings code. The promo code is: WFCustom10 and it will be valid for all Custom Upholstery pieces and runs from October 16 through October 20.
I love the whole concept of not having to leave home to shop for furniture. What about you? Would you be more willing to shop for furniture online with custom upholstery pieces and fabric swatches to look at?

Thanks to Kidecals for providing products for me to review. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
Now that all of my kiddos are in school full-time I have been on a purge and organize mission in my house. I’m pretty sure that each week my garbage man curses me along with my husband who is hauling out all of the junk to the curb. I’ve been cleaning and organizing like a woman on a mission and one of the tools that has been helping me with the organization is Kidecals.
Kidecals are delightfully versatile and cray durable decals for your family, your life and your home. They have labels for just about anything you can think of and do make custom labels as well. You can get wall decals, kid’s labels, chalkboard labels, keyboard labels, bumper/laptop stickers, even canning/baking labels and many more. The labels are both dishwasher and washing machine safe. So that means you can go ahead and label your kid’s clothing, lunch boxes, book bags and toys and the labels won’t be going anywhere. It also means that you can label items around the house as well and these lovely labels will hold up.
Since I am on an organization kick I personally ordered some of the chalkboard labels. I am trying to store and label all of my baking supplies and these are going to be a great help.
I also ordered some absolutely beautiful, canning labels with my blog name on them and blank fields to label what the item is. These are going to come in so handy at Christmas time for homemade gifts!
Lastly, I ordered a fun little laptop sticker. My laptop is boring old gray and when I saw the stickers on Kidecals I had to have one to make my laptop a little more personal and a lot more me.
Could you use some new labels and decals for the kids, yourself or your home? Then use the code ilovelabels with your order, which will give you a 15% discount on any Kidecals orders and remember that shipping is free on all orders!

The good folks over at CLR were kind enough to supply me with CLR Stainless Steel Cleaner and CLR Bath and Kitchen Cleaner for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions on the products are solely mine.
I love cleaning products and if you ever meet my children you will know why. My three youngest children are on some off the charts scales for messiness and destruction. My daughter who is the youngest should not be though. She just follows along with the boys and adds her own form of deviltry to our house of pandemonium. She colors and “decorates” everything she thinks needs to be made pretty. The boys though, they have some legitimate reasons for being messy. Both of them are on the Autism Spectrum and when they get into digger mode can ransack a room in minutes to find one Thomas train or Lego. My 9-year-old eats such a small amount of food due to meds not making him hungry and not being able to sit still when his meds wear off that we will let him eat just about anywhere to get some nourishment into him. This leads to food debris and spills in some unusual places. He also has an oral fixation that leads to fingers in the mouth and then touching of things in the house.
A bit more than a year ago I was able to start changing out some of my kitchen appliances. I was taking them from black to stainless steel. Oh, it was going to be beautiful! Bright, shiny appliances to help make my mini kitchen look bigger. Sadly though that did not happen. You see I never realized or factored in the fact that stainless steel appliances show EVERYTHING! They are always a big, bold testimony to your homes cleanliness or un-cleanliness. I can wipe them down and minutes later they will look like garbage if a child has strolled through the kitchen in search of me, a drink or some food. It’s so bad that I ban them from entering the kitchen when I am working on blog recipes.
I have tried countless stainless steel cleaners to help battle the unsightly messes my children leave for me and many of them leave the appliance looking cloudy or streaky, even when using the special cleaning cloths. So when CLR contacted me and asked me if I wanted to review their Bath and Kitchen Cleaner and Stainless Steel Cleaner I jumped at the chance.
My daughter being the great little helper that she is decided to kick things off right away. After opening up my box from CLR I noticed that there were purple Hello Kitty ink stamps all over the front of my refrigerator. I immediately went into ranting, freak out mode until I realized I was standing there with a box that contained Stainless Steel Cleaner. I took it out and sprayed it on the refrigerator. I immediately saw purple ink running down and smiled. I wiped down the refrigerator with a paper towel and it was shiny, streak-free and Hello Kitty free. I also noticed that it helped with the hard water calcium build up we get from the ice and water dispenser. Usually I have to scrub and scrub and scrub some more on this. She was also kind enough a few days ago to smear Play-Doh on the front of my dishwasher at night when Daddy got her a drink. I of course found it dried the next morning. The cleaner helped remove it with a minimal amount of elbow grease.
The Bath and Kitchen Cleaner was also a huge hit with me. I predominantly used it in the kitchen since that is my main work area and I loved how you hear it fizzing as it works on stains and messes. For tough stains I could spray it on and let it do its thing. I then just needed to wipe it off with a paper towel and voila, pretty kitchen again. My 9-year-old has been learning to pour his own drinks or get his own ice cream and sometimes he does it on his own now. Needless to say, I sometimes find dried dairy circles on the counters. I just spray this on and it quickly breaks up the stain for me to wipe away.
