Just a mere thirty days now until Halloween arrives! Yay!!! Woo-hoo, oh yeah! Can you tell I love Halloween? I dress up and take the kids trick-or-treating, my husband carves amazingly cool pumpkins and I decorate the outside of the house. The kids of course have Halloween parties in their classes but in recent years we can no longer bring food or drink items for parties. This means we have to get creative or be one of the many handing out yet another pencil. (Seriously, how many pencils can a kid get in a year?) To try to make these parties more fun for my kids since they love handing out treats to their friends I always try to do some sort of treat bag. The easiest ones are of course just using baggies but I like to make them pop with printable Halloween treat bag toppers.
I’ve designed two printable Halloween treat bag toppers for this Halloween and each design has a place on the back for your child to write his or her name. These are so easy to do since all you have to do to make them is click on the pictures below of the one you want. This will download the pdf file for you and then you can simply print them out. Then you just cut them out, fold in half and place over the baggie closure and staple to the top on each side. This is a really fun and easy way to personalize simple trinkets, stickers, erasers tattoos, play dough with cookie cutters and yes, even pencils.
The first one has a little Frankenstein monster on it and says… Thanks for being such a ghoul friend!
The second one has our friendly little ghost on it and says… You are a spooktacular friend!
The monster and ghost are sort of vague so you don’t have to worry about them being to scary for young ones.
