Online Learning Classroom Student Cards Printable

by Jennifer Wieland

In this new and crazy world of Covid 19 back-to-school is vastly different for most of us this year. My kiddos are 100% online learning this year and as such, this has created it’s own unique problems. How do you manage a classroom online as a teacher without a class full of students all talking at once online? If you mute them and un-mute as you call on people how does a child get the teacher’s attention? Enter these handy little online learning classroom student cards.

Online Learning Classroom Student Cards Printables

These handy little cards were an idea of a fellow parent in a FB group we have in our town this year to help supply families, teachers and schools with items they need for this uniques school year. She relayed to us in a post how a teacher she knew had told her about cards that the kids could hold up to the camera to get the teacher’s attention without disrupting the class. I read it and thought, what a brilliant, freaking idea!

Online Learning Classroom Student Cards Printables

Let’s be honest here. this not only helps the teachers manage their online classrooms but families with multiple kids can keep the volume in their own houses down. This has an added benefit of also not disrupting your other kids if you’ve converted a room in your house or the kitchen table to the family classroom this year.

Another mom and I pounced on this and each made our own sets to distribute to teachers and parents at their requests. We both just opted for the three basic ideas that were originally mentioned. These are the online learning classroom student cards printables that I’ll be using.

To download the printable pdf files all you need to do is click on the images above for each one. These pdf files were originally designed to use with Avery 5390 (badge inserts). Don’t have those? No problem! Just print them out on card stock instead.

Want the cards to hold up throughout the entire school year? use clear packing tape or clear shelf liner to cover the cards. I used clear shelf liner on mine. Then I punched holes and used a binder ring to keep them together and make flipping through them easy.

Free Ball Printable Plus Three End of School Year Gift Ideas

by Jennifer Wieland
1 Free Printable with 3 End of Year Gift Ideas with Balls!

This time of year always seems to go on forever and yet happens in the blink of an eye. By the end of the school year the kids and I are both SO ready for the year to be over. It’s nice they want to be outside and I’m just tired of arguing with people to wake up in the morning and do homework at night. My daughter always wants a little present to bring the last day of school to hand out to her classmates. This year I decided to come up with a free ball printable that could be used for multiple gift ideas. That’s right, one printable but three great yet inexpensive gift ideas.

Most of the printables I’ve done in the past for classroom gift ideas have been very specific. This time I wanted to create a printable that you could pair with several inexpensive end of school year gift ideas. With the fun, summer beach theme of this printable it easily pairs with paddle balls, beach balls, splash/soaker balls.

Paddle Ball Gift Idea

The paddle ball gift idea was a last-minute add-on. I found some fun paddle balls at the party supply store for only 60¢ and they had fun designs on them.

Beach Ball Gift Idea

Beach balls are in stock everywhere now. I found them for 99¢ and $1 at several stores.

Splash/Soaker Balls Gift Idea

Splash/soaker balls are also in stock everywhere you go. The two packs I used were found at my local dollar store but I also found a giant bag of 24 at my party store for only $9.99 that you could easily place in baggies.

Halloween Fang Printable Perfect for Class Parties

by Jennifer Wieland
Halloween fang printable perfect for class parties or trick-or-treat handouts!

My two youngest boys love all things Halloween that involve spooky, gory and gross. I wanted to create a printable that I could pair with something that they would find amusing. I also wanted it to be something a little more mature. Something that tweens and teens would be amused by and not find babyish. I came up with the idea for this fun Halloween fang printable that’s perfect for class parties for tweens.

Halloween fang printable perfect for class parties or trick-or-treat handouts!

This printable is a little on the macabre side and not at all cutesy like most of my printables. Since my two youngest boys are getting older though they like less of the cutesy and more of the ghastly and I am oddly fond of this creepy creation. The styles and colors are the perfect blend of classic vampire!

Halloween fang printable perfect for class parties or trick-or-treat handouts!

When I first came up with this idea for this Halloween fang printable when I was strolling through the dollar store. There I spotted bags of individually packaged fangs that also had a pouch of red liquid candy in them so that the plastic fang chompers could look like they’d just been in someone’s neck. I know, maybe it’s a little dark for some kids but I know there are plenty who are a bit older who will get a kick out of them. I can just picture my little monsters trying out their fangs and candy all while trying to say, “I want to suck your blood!” in their best vampire voices.

Are you ready to get your hands on your own set of these printables? Then all you need to do to print out this frighteningly, fun printable or to save this Halloween fang printable PDF file to your computer is to just click on the image below. A new window will open up with the file.

Fun Pokémon Lunch Box Notes

by Jennifer Wieland
Pokémon Fun Facts and Joke Lunch Box Notes
If your house is anything like mine then you have at least one kid that is Pokémon crazy right now. For me this seems like something I have been dealing with for decades. It’s possible that I should feel that way since that’s because I have hearing all about Pokémon for almost two decades. My oldest is 23 and has been a Pokémon fan since he was five. He got his first Pokémon cards and game way back in 1998 and we waited in line on a day off of school to see the first Pokémon movie the day it came out. Now it’s my three youngest who are all about the Pokémon games, cards and shows. It was because of all of this and with school just starting that I thought it would be perfect to create some fun Pokémon lunch box notes.

Pokémon Fun Facts and Joke Lunch Box Notes

I know you were thinking, “Nearly two decades? Yeah, right!” As you can see though I have definitely got my moneys worth out of that GameBoy Advance SP and the original Pokémon Red game. Six kids later and it’s still working… LOL!

Pokémon Fun Facts and Joke Lunch Box Notes

Some of these Pokémon lunch box notes have fun facts for the budding Pokémon fan. While others have a silly Pokémon joke for your child to share with their friends at lunchtime to get a laugh out of everyone. All of them have Pokémon pictures and a Pokeball motif for the background design.

Pokémon Fun Facts and Joke Lunch Box Notes

It’s super easy to get a set of these for your kids. All you have to do to print off these Pokémon lunch box notes is to click on the image below. That will then open up a printable PDF version of the lunch box notes for you. You can either print them at that time or you can save them for future use.

Wayfair Housewarming Party - Teacher APpreciation Gift Ideas #wayfairhomemaker

It’s hard to believe that the end of another school year is quickly approaching! My kids will soon be moving on from their teachers they currently have and it’s time for me to thank them for the tremendous job they have done for them and the rest of their students this year. Having worked for our school district before and being an executive board member of our PTA I know how hard the school staff work each and every day. That’s why when I got to host and pick what I wanted to do for a Wayfair Housewarming Party I knew I wanted to focus on teacher appreciation gift ideas. Teacher Appreciation Day is May 3rd this year or you can always just wait and hand them out at the end of the school year. Either way, your child’s teacher will definitely appreciate these gift ideas.

Being a printable lover, foodie, baker and all around sweets junkie I have some fun and easy ideas from past years here on My Sweet Sanity but I am also going to share some awesome ideas from some of the other Wayfair Homemakers as well.

Upcycled Pringles Can & a Free Teacher Appreciation Printable from My Sweet Sanity (That’s me!)

This is a great way to reuse something and turn it into something special. It’s a project the kids can help with and once the project is done the kids can also help bake a special cookie treat for their teacher to fill it with.

As a baker and someone who routinely baked for the staff when I worked for the district I can tell you how much a little sugar boost is loved during the day.

DIY Painter Tile Coasters from Wife in Progress

I absolutely adore this idea as a teacher appreciation gift! It’s inexpensive, your child can do it themselves and it’s so functional! Your child can let their artistic side come through with this project. Plus with all the warm weather everyone knows how much cups sweat so this would be a great way to help a teacher protect their desk and all the papers they have on it.

DIY Teacher Appreciation Gifts from Organized 31

I don’t know about you but for my kids being on IEPs and having special needs they have multiple teachers, aides and therapists that all deserve thank yous at the end of the year or sometimes at just random times. I love this easy, inexpensive and fun way to tell your child’s teachers thank you for all they do. I know the sugar and caffeine rush will also go a long way in making the days easier on them.

Candle Jar Succulent Garden from Wife in Progress

I am a huge fan of crafts that recycle or upcycle things that would be normally tossed into the trash and end up at some landfill. I also happen to burn a lot of candles here and am excited to give this a try not just as a teacher gift but for me as well. As for a teacher gift succulents in small planters like this are a great way to gift some greenery to a garden loving teacher with pots small enough for her to keep in class near the windows.

Teacher Appreciation Printable Gift Tag and Tea Gift Idea from My Sweet Sanity

I am a tea drinker and I know there are a lot of others that love the stuff as well. Last year I created this adorable lemon slice gift tag printable to attach to an insulated cup filled with different teas and sweeteners. This is a fun and useful idea because who couldn’t use an insulated cup especially a teacher when there are still many schools across the country without air conditioners. This will definitely help keep a teacher hydrated.

“Back to School Cake” from Tiger Strypes

This is a fun, cute and creative way to help a teacher replenish their school supplies for the next year! Plus, as we all know, every great celebration needs an equally great cake! You could even get creative and swap out the pencils for some fun can colorful pens or colored pencils. There are so many possibilities with this one and the great thing is you can get most of the supplies you’ll need to make this at the dollar store.

Free Teacher Appreciation Printable from Craving Some Creativity

This beautiful printable is delightful in its own right but I love how she used a ruler to make it into a stake that sits inside of a flower growing kit! What a perfect and special card and gift idea for a teacher who loves to garden! Plus, the DIY flower growing kit will make for a nice summer project one afternoon. After hours and hours of kids in a classroom I’m sure the quiet project will be a dream.

DIY Peppermint Sugar Scrub from Wife in Progress

After a school year of dealing with rambunctious children all day long, every teacher deserves a little pampering. This simple homemade gift is easy to do and I’m sure will be appreciated as a way to get sore, tired feet summer ready. Don’t worry if you’re not a fan of peppermint or want a more summery scent, that’s no big deal. Just swap out the peppermint essential oil for something more refreshing like lemon, lime, orange or grapefruit.

Valentine’s Day Finger Laser Cards Printable for Kids

by Jennifer Wieland
Valentine's Day Finger Laser Cards Printable for Kids

I am all about classroom parties! I am that mom that totally gets into it and wants to be a part of all of them for each of her kids. For my 3rd grade son’s Valentine’s Day party I wanted to do something fun for him and that he would love. Him being a complete and total boy, I knew he would absolutely love, love, love a comic book theme and what goes awesome with a comic book theme? Why, finger lasers of course! That my friends is how I came up with this freaking cute Valentine’s Day finger laser cards printable!

Valentine's Day Finger Laser Cards Printable for Kids

The inspiration for these came while wandering around Target and stalking the clearance sections. I found these four packs of finger lasers on clearance and just knew these would make a great Valentine’s Day handout for one of my boys.

Valentine's Day Finger Laser Cards Printable for Kids

Then the fun began. I tried creating numerous cards to go with these but none of them really grabbed me as being the perfect fit for the finger lasers. That is until I made these comic book themed cards. I mean after all, don’t comic book villains and lasers often go hand in hand? Once i settled on the design I was then able to get the cards printed up, I cut them out, punched holes in them and took some twine and tide on the finger lasers. These cards would also work great with glow sticks or mini flashlights if you can’t find finger lasers.
